Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner

Sandra is a board-certified Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, licensed and trained to treat behavioral health concerns across the lifespan. Through her practice, she aims to provide compassionate care and collaborate with her patients to tailor treatment plans that encompass mind, body, and spirit.

Sandra graduated with her Master’s in Nursing from The University of Texas at Austin, where she participated in the Integrative Behavioral Health Scholars Program, with a focus on holistic, interdisciplinary addiction treatment. Prior to entering advanced practice nursing, Sandra served as Director of Nursing for a full-continuum addiction treatment program, overseeing a team of nurses dedicated to providing safe and effective treatment in all levels of substance use care. She is especially interested in exploring underlying issues and co-occurring disorders that may contribute to chronic relapsing in her patients.

Sandra’s treatment approach emphasizes the power of combined psychotherapy and medication management, and she is especially interested in recognizing and incorporating emerging evidence-based therapies that aid in greater mental health care.
