CARMAhealth’s Medical Director Dr. Steven Powell is board certified in Family Medicine, and is a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians and the Texas Academy of Family Physicians.
Carlos Tirado - Founder and Chief Medical Officer
Dr. Tirado is board certified in general and addiction psychiatry by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology and addiction medicine by the American Board of Addiction Medicine.
David Walsh - Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner, Chief Operations Officer
David is a board-certified Family Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner whose primary area of interest is working with families struggling with addiction repair their family dynamic.
Casey Coton - Psychiatrist
Dr. Coton is board-eligible in general psychiatry by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology.
Caroline Hedenberg - Collaborative Care Clinician
Caroline has been in practice as a Social Worker since 2003, and has worked in the inpatient social work and utilization review areas of healthcare, through which she has gained considerable expertise.
Lorie Kmetz - Family Nurse Practitioner
Lorie Kmetz is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner. She specializes in primary care and medication-assisted treatment (MAT) for patients with substance use disorders.
Sally Reese - Family and Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner
Sally is dual certified as a Family Nurse Practitioner and a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. Her dual certification and her years of clinical expertise have enabled her to help virtually every patient in our behavioral health population.
Melissa Rivera - Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner
Melissa is a board-certified Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, licensed and trained to treat behavioral health concerns across the lifespan. She is bilingual and fluent in Spanish with a particular interest in serving diverse populations.

Becky is a board-certified Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner trained to treat mental disorder. Her background in research and evidence-based practice has helped her provide quality treatment for her patients.
