Steven Powell, MD

Medical Director

Dr Powell is board certified in Family Practice by the American Board of Family Medicine. He is also board certified in Addiction Medicine by the American Board of Preventive Medicine. He graduated with a B.A. from University of Texas at Austin. He attended medical school at Rush Medical College in Chicago. He completed his residency in Family Practice at the John Peter Smith/University of Texas Southwestern Community and Family Medicine program in Fort Worth

He is a member of the Texas Academy of Family Physicians, the American Academy of Family Physicians, and the American Society of Addiction Medicine.

Dr. Powell has taken a special interest in substance use disorders for over fifteen years and has completed additional training to enhance his ability to care for this population. He is committed to forging a synthesis of Primary Care and Addiction Medicine, allowing patients to receive a level of care not available in many normal practices.
