Our Purpose: Primary Care to Address Substance Use and Psychiatric Disorders

The World Health Organization and Centers for Disease Control have long identified Substance Use Disorders (SUD) and Depression as major contributors to morbidity and mortality. SUD and mental illness are huge drivers of health care costs. These two personal and public health issues also deeply impact families and whole communities. Lack of access to competent primary care and lack of behavioral health integration keeps people sick.

CARMAhealth adopts a collaborative model of care that blends primary care medicine and behavioral health. We adopt a pragmatic, risk informed approach to care. Our goal is to create a medical home for our patients, their family and our community.

CARMAhealth Health Core Values

• Provide unconditional access to life saving treatment for addiction and related disorders;

• Support long term recovery through the lifespan with compassionate awareness of the relapsing nature of addiction;

• Engage in continuous innovation to refine and enhance the clinical impact of services on individual lives.

CARMAhealth provides comprehensive primary care for addiction and related behavioral and medical disorders. Our providers adopt a positive, collaborative approach and integrate primary medicine, behavioral health and care management to promote lasting recovery, encourage self-care and improve treatment outcomes. CARMA stands for Collaborative Addiction Recovery Management and Assistance.

CARMAhealth will be a leader in clinical innovation and expand our model of evidence-based medical and behavioral services for addiction and recovery to the lasting benefit of individuals, families and healthcare providers.

Hear What Our Patients Say

It’s worth noting that the practice also treats mental health disorders which is why I use Carma. I have been to other doctors in town and have never received the level of compassion and care for my health that I do here.
