Expert Psychiatric Care from the Comfort of Home
Board-certified psychiatrists and psychiatric nurse practitioners available by secure video. Medication management, evaluations, and follow-up care for patients across Texas and Florida.
The Same Quality Care, Without the Commute
Telehealth psychiatry lets you meet with your practitioner through a secure video connection from anywhere in Texas or Florida. Your visit follows the same clinical process as an in-person appointment: your psychiatrist reviews your symptoms, discusses your treatment plan, prescribes or adjusts medications, and answers your questions. The only difference is you do not have to leave home. Whether you are starting treatment with a psychiatric evaluation, managing medications for depression or anxiety, or continuing a treatment plan you have already begun, telehealth gives you consistent access to the care you need.
Proven Results, Trusted by National Medical Organizations
The American Psychiatric Association recognizes telepsychiatry as equivalent to in-person care in diagnostic accuracy, treatment effectiveness, and patient satisfaction. Research published in the National Library of Medicine confirms that clinical outcomes for psychiatric telehealth are comparable to face-to-face visits across a range of diagnoses, including depression, anxiety, PTSD, and ADHD.
Access matters as much as quality. The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services supports telehealth as a way to expand access to mental health services, particularly for patients in underserved areas or those facing barriers to in-person care. Federal prescribing flexibilities allow CARMAhealth practitioners to prescribe and manage psychiatric medications, including controlled substances, through telehealth visits.
At CARMAhealth, every telehealth visit is led by a board-certified psychiatrist or psychiatric nurse practitioner. If your practitioner determines that an advanced treatment like TMS therapy or ketamine therapy could help, they will coordinate a referral to one of our in-person locations in Austin or Dripping Springs.
