A Holistic Approach to Psychiatric Care
Dr. Casey Coton is a psychiatrist who brings a holistic, non-judgmental perspective to treating mood disorders, anxiety, and addiction. He earned his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine and completed his general psychiatry residency at Baylor Scott & White Medical Center in Temple, TX.
Before medical school, Dr. Coton earned a Master of Science in Clinical Psychology from St. Mary's University in San Antonio, where his work focused on addiction populations in drug court programs, neurorehabilitation, and counseling. That foundation in both psychology and medicine continues to shape his clinical practice.
Dr. Coton integrates multiple evidence-based approaches, including cognitive behavioral therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, and motivational interviewing. He has a special interest in neuromodulation techniques, particularly transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS) for mood, anxiety, and addiction treatment. His clinical style is inviting and empathetic, focused on meeting patients where they are.
