Two Decades of Compassionate, Whole-Person Care

Kim Sterling is a dual-certified Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C) and Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) at CARMAhealth. With over 20 years of healthcare experience spanning postoperative orthopedic care, endocrinology, primary care, internal medicine, and psychiatric mental health, she brings a remarkably broad clinical perspective to every patient interaction.

Kim earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Prairie View A&M University in 2003 and returned to complete her Master of Science in Nursing in 2014. In 2024, she earned a Post-Master's Certificate from Liberty University, further expanding her psychiatric nursing expertise. She holds board certification from the American Nurses Credentialing Center (PMHNP-BC) and the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners Certification Board (FNP-C).

Kim's approach to care is grounded in treating each patient as an individual, with dignity and without judgment. She specializes in serving patients with primary care needs, mental health conditions, substance dependence, and related co-occurring disorders. Her philosophy is simple: treat others as she would want her own family to be treated.
