Samantha Hurlbut

Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner

Samantha is a board-certified Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner licensed and trained to treat psychiatric disorders in adults, children and adolescents. Samantha graduated with a Master of Science in Nursing degree from the University of Texas with a focus in Advanced Practice Psychiatric Nursing. Samantha also obtained her Bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of Houston.

Prior to becoming an Advanced Practice Nurse, Samantha worked for 5 years providing case management services to individuals with persistent mental illness and survivors of family violence/sexual assault. She worked as a Registered Nurse serving patients in a psychiatric hospital setting as well as a Partial Hospitalization Program.

Currently, Samantha provides medication management services coupled with brief therapeutic interventions to patients struggling with a wide range of psychiatric disorders and symptoms. Through her practice she works to reduce mental health stigma and provide trauma-informed, person-centered care to the individuals she serves.
