Steven Powell, MD

Medical Director

Dr Powell is board certified in family practice by the American Board of Family Medicine. He graduated with a B.A. from University of Texas at Austin and later attended medical school at Rush Medical College in Chicago. He completed his residency in family practice at the John Peter Smith/University of Texas Southwestern program in Fort Worth.

He is a member of the Texas Academy of Family Physicians, the American Academy of Family Physicians, and the American Society of Addiction Medicine.

Dr. Powell has taken a special interest in substance use disorders for over ten years and has completed additional training to enhance his ability to care for this population. He is committed to forging a synthesis of primary care and addiction medicine, allowing patients to receive a level of care not available in many normal practices.
