Dr. Isela Werchan is a board-certified psychiatrist with deep expertise in both general psychiatry and addiction medicine. She earned her medical degree from the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston and completed her psychiatry residency at UT Dell Medical School in Austin, where she served as Chief Resident.

Her clinical approach centers on meeting patients where they are. She is trained in cognitive behavioral therapy, cognitive processing therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, psychodynamic psychotherapy, and motivational interviewing. This range allows her to tailor treatment to each patient's unique needs and recovery goals.

Dr. Werchan treats mood and anxiety disorders, PTSD, OCD, psychotic disorders, and substance use disorders. She brings experience from residential treatment programs, inpatient psychiatric hospitals, and outpatient settings. She is fluent in English and Spanish.
